The Ocean Course
Every hole has ocean views — only course in the US where this is true. Wind is ALWAYS a factor. Site of the 1991 Ryder Cup 'War by the Shore' and 2021 PGA Championship. Caddie mandatory.
Osprey Point
Tom Fazio design through marshes and lagoons. Most playable Kiawah course. Good warm-up before Ocean Course.
Turtle Point
Jack Nicklaus design. 3 holes along the Atlantic. Recently renovated.
Cougar Point
Gary Player design along the Kiawah River. Shortest and most accessible course on the island.

Insider tips
Play Ocean Course on a calm day if possible — wind can make it unplayable for high handicappers
Pair Kiawah with a Charleston day for the food — Husk, FIG, and Rodney Scott's BBQ are worth the drive
Stay in a villa, not The Sanctuary, unless it's a special occasion. Villas are more fun for groups
Osprey Point on arrival day, Ocean Course day 2 when you're warmed up and rested
Caddie on Ocean Course is worth every penny — they know the wind and the greens
