Insider tips

Tip 01

No. 2 gets all the press, but No. 4 (Gil Hanse) might be the more enjoyable round. Play both.

Tip 02

Tobacco Road is either the best or worst round of your life. There is no middle ground. Play it.

Tip 03

Book a Pinehurst resort package for 3+ rounds — the per-round price drops significantly.

Tip 04

Walking is strongly encouraged at Pinehurst. Get a caddie for No. 2 — they know the green contours you can't see.

Tip 05

Mid Pines is the hidden star. Recently restored to pristine Donald Ross condition at half the price of No. 2.
